Thank you very much for your generosity!!

GRIGGS FARM FIRE RELIEF FUND:  Princeton Community Housing continues to work very closely with the residents at Griggs Farm displaced as a result of the Dec. 27 fire, including voluntarily providing emergency housing, as well as helping them with other immediate and ongoing needs.  Please see below to help with longer-term housing options for residents.

Many thanks again to the very generous anonymous donors who stepped forward with a $36,000 Matching Challenge during Jan. 2-23.  This Challenge has been met!  Over 180 kind donors gave from $10 to $5,000 during this timeframe, thus doubling the impact of their gifts -- thank you!

Further gifts for this Griggs Farm Fire Relief Fund are still needed and welcome, to help with the residents' transition from emergency housing to temporary housing.

Please make your check payable to Princeton Community Housing, Inc., designate it for "Griggs Farm Fire Relief Fund" and mail your contribution to:

Thank you also for the outpouring of "in-kind" donations brought to Trinity Church in Princeton (including warm clothing, blankets, toiletry items, snacks, water, and dog and cat food), along with gift cards.  Many thanks also to the Trinity Church parishioners and other volunteers who sorted these generous contributions.

At this time, we no longer need "in-kind" donations but are still welcoming gift cards (including universal cards and those for local stores/restaurants) for displaced residents.

PCH is working with other community organizations and the Human Services Department of the municipality of Princeton to identify local places where the displaced residents can stay for an extended time, to keep children in the Princeton public school district and maintain employment and other community ties.

Individuals or organizational representatives with HOUSING OPTIONS (available for the next 10-12 months) are asked to contact PCH immediately.  While PCH provides affordable homes to over 1,000 residents in Princeton, these homes are filled and wait lists are 12-24 months.  Therefore, other housing is needed for the displaced Griggs Farm residents during the building’s reconstruction, now estimated to take at least ten months.

Thank you!
